Replaced a ROG STRIX 1080 with this card. Running 1440p with an i7-7700k. GR:Wildlands (with the same graphics settings) jumped from 50-60fps to 90-120fps throughout gameplay. Considerably better. Destiny 2 however is more consistently 144fps with the same settings, but still experiences dips in the tower.

The card is as advertised by many tech enthusiast, a 1080 ti performance with new technology that can’t be tested. The problem with these card is that it runs very hot with the stock fan curve. I have a limit set on MSI after burner to 80 C and it hits that after a few minutes of gaming. Sadly you can’t change the fan curve using afterburner. In order to do that you need GPU tweak 2 from Asus. After some testing I find out that the best curve for me is 40C to 40% fan and 70C to 80% fan (100% is too loud). With these curve it rarely passes 70 C and never hits 80 C in my testing. It does run a little loud which if you use headphones, like me, you won’t notice it but if you are looking for something quiet look somewhere else.

Doing a good job so far as of 12/30/18 I WILL change this review if something changes. The led light cant be changed, a little long, very cheap plastic feel on my fingers. Despite all this its giving me frames like no other! good job ASUS! Performance 1st luxury 2nd. Its noisy like if someone was mowing the lawn 2 houses down or like a stock intel fan, Just wear headphones guys. Runs a litle hot at 80c
